The Submariner was the first wristwatch guaranteed waterproof to 100 metres, and it set the template for the modern dive watch: rotating timing bezel, high-legibility dial, screw-down crown.
The 2020 generation grew to 41 mm, gained Calibre 3235 with the Chronergy escapement, and slimmed the lugs while keeping the Cerachrom bezel insert that resists scratches and UV fading.
